In 2020, the Export of Furniture and Parts Will Exceed 400 Billion RMB, A Year-on-Year Increase of 12.2%

In 2020, in the annual retail sales of units above designated size, furniture will drop by 7%. In terms of exports, the export value of furniture and its parts was 403.9 billion RMB, an increase of 12.2% over the previous year.

According to the "National Economic and Social Development Statistical Bulletin of the People's Republic of China in 2020" recently issued by the National Bureau of Statistics, in terms of domestic trade, the total retail sales of consumer goods for the year were 391981 trillion RMB, a decrease of 3.9% from the previous year. Statistic by consumption type, the retail sales of goods reached 35,245.3 billion RMB, a decrease of 2.3%. In the annual retail sales of commodities above the designated size, the furniture category fell by 7%, and the building and decoration materials category fell by 2.8%.

In terms of foreign economy, the total value of imports and exports of goods for the year was 3,1557 trillion RMB, an increase of 1.9% over the previous year. Judging from the table of the export volume, value and growth rate of major commodities in 2020, the export value of furniture and its parts was 403.9 billion RMB, an increase of 12.2% over the previous year. The export value of textile yarns, fabrics and products was 1,069.5 billion RMB, an increase of 30.4% over the previous year.
